Happy Children’s Day – Indian Style Mac n Cheese in Microwave

1/2 tsp oil

1/4 cup onion chopped

1/4 cup tomato chopped

1/2 tsp garlic paste

1/2 tsp curry powder

1/2 cup macaroni

1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup  grated cheddar cheese

Combine the pasta, the water, and the salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH in 2-minute intervals until the pasta is al dante, stirring between each interval. This should take about 6-8 minutes total. If the pasta absorbs all the water before the pasta is cooked, add another 2 tablespoons of water.

Put pasta in the colander and put under cold water , so ass to stop its cooking. Let it cool down.

In the microwave safe bowl put the oil , heat it on HIGH for 30 second. Now add onion , tomatoes and curry powder in the heater oil, mixing thoroughly so that oil and curry powder coats tomatoes and onion. Heat on High for 30 seconds. Add Pasta back into the tomato onion mix. Stir in the milk and the cheddar cheese  and  microwave on HIGH in 30-second intervals until the cheese has melted into a creamy sauce, stirring between each interval and 1-1.5 minutes total.


Easy Fruit Chaat – Healthy Summer Recipe

1 pear, peeled, cubed
1 apple, peeled, cubed
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 pineapple, cubed
1/2 tbsp chhat masala  (available in Indian Stores)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Salt to taste

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and serve. Its healthy & yummy.
