• Soaked Nutrela / Soya Chunks : 100 grams
• Soaked Basmati Rice : 2 Cups
• Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 Tbsp
• Chopped Onion , medium : 1
• Cumin seeds, Roasted : 1 tbsp
• Green Cardamoms, Crushed : 1 tbsp
• Cloves : 8-10
• Black peppercorns : 8-10
• Cinnamon stick : 1
• Bay leaves : 3
• Green Chilli , chopped : 1
• Salt to taste
• Hot boiling water : 4 cups
• Oil : 2 tbsp
1. Heat 2tbsp oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
2. Add onions and brown on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove onions from the oil and keep aside.
3. Now add all the spices ( Bay leaves , Cumin Seeds , Cardamom powder , Cinnamon stick , Black Pepper corns , Green Chilli , Cloves etc ) & Ginger Garlic paste to oil and microwave on High for 1 minute.
4. Add Soya chunks, mix well and microwave on high for 5 minutes.
5. Add rice, hot water & salt. Microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring at every 3 minutes in between
We the single girls of above a certain age face a very real pressure, whether spoken or not, to be married. Sometimes this societal pressure, fact that you are alone and the media’s reflection of a happy relationship gets to us. Making us feel LONELY.
Loneliness is not being alone. One can be lonely even in midst of others; loneliness is the feeling of emptiness and sadness, the feeling of abandonment, the feeling of having no one and the fear of being left out.
Last night I felt that deep loneliness and decided to write about managing it. Here are some tips that have worked for me and may work for you.
Call someone you love: It could be your mother, grandmother or your best friend. It could be your little niece who will make you smile with her childish chatter. Just talking with someone you love will give you that momentary escape you badly need at that moment.
Cry: There’s something healing about shedding the tears. Let the flow and take away your pain as they go.
Drink: When I say drink I don’t mean a hard drink as it can cause you to feel more depressed but a glass of wine or a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate will help you to feel calmer.
Sleep: There nothing that can beat a good night’s sleep to refresh you and to give you the mental strength to fight the feeling of loneliness , trust me and try it.
Exercise. If you are lonely, take up a new sport or exercise. An hour of running or swimming or dancing will release the endorphins that will replace the sadness with joy.
Take up a hobby: For me blogging has been the answer, it helps me to express myself anonymously. Do something you will enjoy and it may help you connect with new people and who knows one of them may be your soul mate?
Work on yourself: Read, exercise, go for a massage or visit the parlour. The fact that you are working on yourself will boost your confidence and will make you look and feel more attractive.
I am at peace with myself and the world. My relation with god is strong and my chakras are in balance. I take regular vacations , visit the spas and meditate regularly.
I have started my own group of companies and am independently wealthy and powerful. I am mentoring future leaders and being constantly interviewed by various magazines. My business is flourishing.
I am living in a huge 5 bedroom , fully landscaped house with my loving husband. Our dog is relaxing by the fireplace in our library while we are lazing in the huge pool ( and talking about our next luxury vacation ) outside and can view the sea from our pool. We have a sports car , a SUV and a luxury sedan parked in the garage. The birds are chirping in our huge garden.
I have met my dream guy who’s rich , good looking ,intelligent ,funny and loyal. He loves me totally. We are getting married and our families are totally happy that we have found each other.
Today is my wedding with my soulmate – the guy who understands me , loves me unconditionally , gives me the strength to conquer the world. Is rich , good looking , intelligent and funny. We are having a small hindu wedding by the beach where my nana – nani are blessing me. His family adores me.
I am healthy and fit. My skin glows and I have a sexy toned figure. I love to eat healthy , exercise and meditate daily.
Have never been negative in life , but tonight the loneliness is creeping into my heart and it feels as if some darkness is cloaking me , choking me. The loneliness that makes you feel as if you cant cant breathe.
The depression which is making me question everything…Just want to hide somewhere and cry like a mad woman…When all you want is a hug and just a little bit of understanding even if its just an act.
